NOT ACTIVE : Solution Lead (Architect) – Germany
Autonomy. Visibility. Impact. What more could you ask for in a career?
This is a great chance for an application/architecture design specialist to be a pivotal part of a new venture developing medical device software that could improve millions of lives. As the first owner of the architecture and design process, you can set standards, bring people on board and make a highly visible contribution.
You’ll join the Engineering Chapter for a global Top-20 pharma business as Solution Lead, their new venture is focused on the fast-growing ‘Software as a Medical Device’ (SaMD) market – a champion of innovation.
This untapped area is a commercial priority, so you’ll be making a noticeable impact within the business. Beyond that, the medical solutions you help facilitate could impact millions of lives worldwide.
Your role is to drive forward product development by bridging the gap between stakeholders around the business and technical teams. There’s plenty of responsibility:
This could be the opportunity you’re looking for to take your expertise in application/architecture design, development & testing, infrastructure, Cloud and IoT architectures into a new field. Provided you’ve worked in a similar regulated industry, you don’t need medical device experience.
As a leader, you’re commercially focused and solutions orientated – someone who can thrive in a collaborative Agile or DevOps culture. You’ve shown you can confidently communicate with a diverse range of people and manage even the most senior of stakeholders. If you can do that in German, as well as English, that’s a bonus.
Technically, we’re looking for a degree in computer science (or equivalent experience) and that you’ve used at least one of the following programming languages: Java (Spring), TypeScript, Python, Scala, Go.
Experience of Container tools (e.g. OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes) or Cloud applications (e.g. AWS, Azure) would be an added benefit, as would knowledge of ISO software quality standards and/or GAMP induced requirements around traceability.
Initially, you’ll need to be comfortable with working 100% remotely. In time, we anticipate you’ll spend 3-4 days a week in the office and 1-2 days working from home.
There’s arguably nowhere better to pursue a new career than in this market-leading pharma giant as they set out on their new venture in the SaMD space.
You’ll thrive in a culture where leaders are encouraged to explore how digital innovations can be leveraged to accelerate the development of better healthcare for humans and animals.
