NOT ACTIVE – Senior UX Designer – Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany (hybrid)
UX is only really truly satisfying when it’s done properly. When the research and data feeds into the prototyping, which in turn feeds into meaningful user testing and high-quality product development.
Here, it would be. Firstly, because you would be working on life-changing medical device products, that need to be delivered to the highest standards. And secondly, because you’d be personally responsible for setting the UX standards for the whole of the product team.
You’ll be a key member of a positive, talented design team (eight in Germany and four in Shanghai) whose mission is to keep exploring new ways to innovate, improve and make an impact in the fast-growing global SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) market.
Working in a start-up environment – but with the backing of a global pharmaceutical group – you’ll tackle some engaging design challenges yourself – all the way from research and prototyping to concept testing and product development. Beyond that, you’ll have the freedom to identify better ways of working, inspiring your immediate colleagues, and educating the wider business on the value of UX.
Ultimately, you’ll be creating innovative products that enable better healthcare for animals and humans in areas as diverse as disease detection, stroke prevention, dementia, pet care, and animal welfare. If you’re looking to share your UX design experience and make a more meaningful contribution, it’s an ideal move.
Exposure to SaMD isn’t essential. Above all, you’ll need wide-ranging UX design experience spanning software, mobile apps, and website development. Ideally, you’ve done this in a purpose-driven, product-centric environment – for example, finance, healthcare, a consultancy, or an innovation lab.
Beyond that it’s your personal skills that will help you succeed:
You’ll be joining a global top-20 pharma business with a research-driven focus on innovative therapies that can extend patients’ lives; there’s always something new in the pipeline here. The company is family-owned so people can focus on long-term goals, not short-term shareholder returns. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to develop your career.
