The rules for governing AI don’t exist yet. You’ll write them.
This is a rare opportunity to sit at the centre of a large-scale data and AI transformation and define how unstructured data, AI and agentic workflows are governed across a global pharmaceutical company.
Not a compliance role.
Not a maintenance role.
This is about setting direction where there is no playbook.
Your work will shape how data is used across research, manufacturing, quality, commercial, human pharma and animal health – enabling faster innovation, better decisions, and real-world impact at scale.
If you’re excited by AI, influence and building something that hasn’t been done before, this is worth a look.
What you will do:
- Define enterprise governance models for unstructured data, AI and emerging technologies
- Shape what “good” looks like for data products in an AI-first environment
- Influence how R&D, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams use data globally
- Coach and lead Product Owners, Architects and Engineers
- Challenge assumptions, set direction, and help write the future operating model for data
What makes this different:
- Greenfield challenge – you’re not inheriting legacy governance frameworks, you’re creating new ones
- Enterprise influence – your decisions impact multiple business units and disciplines
- True leadership role – autonomy to take inventory, form opinions and drive strategy
- Purpose-driven work – your frameworks will accelerate drug discovery, improve clinical trials and help get treatments to patients faster
What you will need:
- Strong background in enterprise data management, data governance or data strategy
- Experience working with modern data platforms and complex data ecosystems
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through ambiguity
- A strategic mindset with the confidence to challenge, shape and define direction
- Experience in regulated environments, AI, or unstructured data is a strong plus
